Beginner Driver Education (BDE): Online & In-Class
BDE is an MTO-certified course combining 30 hours of theory (available fully online and self-paced, or in-class in Kitchener and North York) with 10 or 14 hours of in-car training. Completing BDE shortens the G1 holding period from 12 months to 8 months and is the main way new drivers in Ontario qualify for an insurance discount. Online packages start at $575 + HST in most areas ($605 + HST in the Toronto area).
In-Car Driving Lessons
One-on-one in-car training with a certified instructor, available in 2, 4, 6, or 10-hour blocks. Lessons focus on the exact manoeuvres and local routes examiners test on, with pickup and drop-off included.
G1 Knowledge Test Preparation
Free and paid study tools to help you pass the G1 written test on your first attempt, covering road signs, traffic laws, and the rules every new Ontario driver needs to know before booking in-car training.
G2 / G Road Test Packages
Road test packages include one-on-one training plus a car for your G2 or G test at your local DriveTest centre, with a warm-up drive beforehand. Packages range from 1 to 7 hours of training depending on how much practice you need.
Defensive Driving Course
A 3.5-hour online self-paced course plus 2 hours of in-car training, accepted across Canada, designed to sharpen hazard awareness and potentially lower insurance rates. Starts at $220 + HST.

Can I get a car for my G2 or G road test?
Yes. Premium and Master BDE packages include an instructor's car for your road test plus a 1-hour warm-up at your local DriveTest centre. Standalone Road Test packages are also available if you already have a BDE certificate.
